The Mission of Oakbrook Middle School is: To educate students to become proficient, responsible and caring citizens by creating a nurturing environment where staff, parents, and community work together to provide challenges and opportunities for students to reach their maximum potential.

Description:
We are a 6-7-8 grade middle school located in Dorchester District Two. We serve the lower Ladson area of the district. Currently, we have a student population of 915 students. We are very excited about this school year. With the changing of district lines, due to the new middle school opening, we have welcomed 800 students that are new to OMS. All parents are welcome to volunteer in any capacity.

History:
We opened in the fall of 1987 and have continued to serve Dorchester District II students and their families. We offer a wide variety of extra curricular activities and academic competitive teams. We have represented our district at the Annual Quest competition bringing home many trophies. We currently have eight National Board Certified teachers and all of our staff members are highly qualified in their area of expertise. Our PTSA is starting their membership drive and are looking for parents wanting to take an active role in the support of their child's education.
