WINGS develops strategies, practices and materials for social and emotional learning to take place within afterschool programs. With a good social and emotional education kids behave responsibly, form positive relationships, understands themselves and solve everyday problems so they can lead joyful and successful lives.

Description:
Wings operates an afterschool program at Memminger elementary school. 120 kids attend Monday through Friday from 3:00-6:00. We infuse our social and emotional learning curriculum into all aspects of the program. The daily schedule is:
3:00-3:30 Community Unity
3:30-4:40 Choice Times (activities lead by Youth Leaders)
4:40-5:40 Academic Time

History:
We are in our 11th year of operation and this is our 9th year at Memminger.
