Teachers' Supply Closet

The organization’s mission is to serve the educational and creative needs of children in the Greater Charleston Area by providing a unique means to offer free merchandise, donated from businesses and individuals, for teachers to use in their classrooms.

Description:
The organization is funded by donations (both financial and with supplies) from area businesses and corporations, charitable foundations, and individuals interested in supporting education.

Teachers from select schools come to the Teachers' Supply Closet and shop for "free" to provide school supplies to students in their classrooms.

We offer new, and some "gently used" items that teachers can use in their classrooms. We have a list of critical items always needed by our teachers.

Volunteers staff the store and help with inventory, assisting teachers on shopping days and general store maintenance. Volunteers also spearhead supply drives.

We are located at 1401 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Ste 11 in the Ashley Landing shopping plaza. We are next to Players Place and West Wings. Our front door is directly across from the Ashley Landing sign.   Nearest Bus Stop: Directly out in front of the store, 1 minute minute walk
