People Against Rape provides advocacy services for adult and child victims of sexual assault. Advocacy services include: providing support and encouragement during crisis situations, hospital accompaniment, legal advocacy, and offer resources and referrals.

History:
People Against Rape, Inc. (PAR) was established in 1974 to assist adult victims of sexual assault in the tri-couty community covering Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley Counties. PAR services have expanded over the years as it now serves child and adult victims of sexual violence and abuse, women, children and men.
