The mission of Alston Middle School is to provide all students with the skills and opportunities to become productive citizens.

Description:
Alston Middle School is a middle school in Dorchester District #2. We're a great middle school! Only one other middle school in our district has received more academic honors form the State Department of Education. If you come to help us with a project you'll walk away with a feeling that your effort is appreciated and that you made a difference! Even though we've enjoyed some we really have a lot of kids who need extra support and we've got an older building that we try to keep looking good. We're always looking for folks who can donate a few hours painting, landscaping, tutoring coaching or mentoring. As for the mentoring piece, we have filed for a grant to help us create a mentoring program so we hope to build a base of caring professionals who would like to take on a middle school protege'. If you are interested in getting involved I hope that you will contact us! We've got great kids and a terrific, welcoming staff. We're glad to invite you to help us!We can be reached at 821-3921 or 821-3922.
