Keep North Charleston Beautiful works to enhance the beauty of North Charleston. We do this by working with on-going beautification programs and recruiting volunteers to help in our beautification efforts.

Keep North Charleston Beautiful is a 501C3 organization that empowers volunteers to make North Charleston even more beautiful. We do litter pickup projects as well as beautification projects. Our mission is to work to improve the cleanliness and beauty of our public areas. We work with neighborhood groups to help them beautify their neighborhoods during our Clean Cities Sweep Program. We instituted our Flowerscape Program this year. We also have a Monthly Beautification Activity (MBA) each month. There are four committees within the group: Beautification, Finance and Fundraising, Public Relations, and Governance.
History:
Keep North Charleston Beautiful has been in existence since 2000. We have several projects we are currently working on: the Flowerscape Program, our Monthly Beautification Activity (MBA) Program and recruiting volunteers for the Adopt a Highway Program. Our first project was to get attractive trash containers in City parks. We have done several community beautification projects. This includes our annual Clean Cities Sweep Program which we do in conjunction with the City of Charleston. Keep America Beautiful awarded our cleanup the best cleanup for its size several years back. We have created a recruitment brochure and a license plate to help promote the beauty of North Charleston. We just finished recruiting sponsors for the Prideways Program. This program raises funding to have inmates clean I-26 and 5-26 two times each month.
