Hope Lodge is a "home away from home" made available at no cost to adult patients undergoing active outpatient treatment for cancer. The comfortable facilities along with dedicated staff and volunteers, provice an emotionally supportive environment for patients and and their loved ones.

Hope Lodge is a nationwide project of the American Cancer Society. Developed in conjunction with host communities, Hope Lodge is a tangible reflection of the American Cancer Society's commitment to patient services.
History:
As a patient services program of the American Cancer Sociey, the first Hope Lodge opened in Charleston, S.C. in 1970. There are currently 22 Hope Lodge's in the country. Established in 1913, the American Cancer Society is one of the oldest and largest voluntary health agencies in the the United States with more than two million Americans united to conquer cancer through research, education, advocacy and patient services.
