Windsor Hill Elementary School is committed to providing meaningful opportunities that create lifelong learners.All stakeholders are involved and committed to an educational program providing the tools children need to succeed academically and as responsible citizens. The programs lays a positive foundation encouraging each child to become a life-long learner. Emphasis is placed upon teaching relevant and challenging information in a caring school environment where students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community work together to educate all children. The unique abilities and strengths of each child will be primary concern in the implementation of these goals:

  • School will be a safe and non-threatening environment.
  • Students will develop proficiency in basic skills, critical thinking, creative thinking, and in the use of technology.
  • Students will learn to make responsible, personal choices.
  • School will build positive interaction and support among staff, parents, district personnel and our community.
  • School will accelerate the learning of all children by building on the strengths of each child.
  • Description:
    Elementary School is located off Ashley Phosphate road in Dorchester County District 2. Students and Staff enrollment is approximately 1015. Grades CD thru 5th grade.

    History:
    Windsor Hill Elementary School has been in operation since 1990 thru present, providing meaningful opportunites that create lifelong learners for the lower Dorchester County District 2. Our school has been involved with the Trident United Way Day of Caring for the past three years. Our projects have included interior painting of classrooms,painting of the post office boxes for the student mail service,landscaping to the front& back of the school ,safety beds around the playground equipment & and installation of block flowerbeds to the front of the school.Several of the areas after this event actually become outside classrooms and study or reading areas for classrooms earning this privilige.
