Just 1 Hour a Week Will Make a Difference!
Last updated on October 24, 2008

The children at Mary Ford Elementary show up each day eager to learn and excited to be at school. Even though they are determined they still need help, help they may not receive at home. The only real opportunity to help these children is during school hours for when they go home at the end of the day many times there are more pressing matters to be tended to at home, other than homework or studying. For this reason these students need our help! The following are volunteer opportunities at Mary Ford:

Classroom Volunteers –
Helping student’s in the classroom with reading or the day’s lesson plan! This is a wonderful opportunity for retired teachers or anyone who wishes to experience the excitement of the classroom again! (Flexible)

Lunch Buddies Program –
Spending an hour twice a month sharing lunch with a child! (Flexible)

After School Program –
A wonderful opportunity to help a child with their homework or be a roll model! (Any time between 2:30 and 5:30)

Helping a student one on one with reading skills – (Flexible)

Media Center –
