The Charleston Miracle League (CML)is an organization that provides baseball for special-needs children and adults all over the Lowcountry. The 2008 Spring season runs March 7 - May 2 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, every Saturday (except April 4 for our Bridging the Gap Through Baseball fundraiser with the Cooper River Bridge Run). There are a couple of ways to volunteer. You can either be a Fan in the Stands or a Buddy. Being a Fan in the Stands prepares you for being a Buddy. All ages welcome for this position. You get to see how capable these individuals are at playing baseball and being athletic. You will be absolutely amazed! Being a Buddy entails partnering with a player and actually playing the game with them. This is the most fun position! You get to hit the ball with them, run the bases, and give lots of high-fives and hugs. To be on the field, volunteers must be at least 10 years of age or older. Being a part of CML can change your life in an instant. You learn what it's like for an individual with disabilities to be in a "normal" environment and to be given opportunities they wouldn't normally have in life. Remember... "Everybody Deserves A Chance To Play Baseball!"
All ages welcome. To be on the field, volunteers must be 10 years of age or older. No training or experience is necessary. This opportunity is sponsored by: Charleston Miracle League
