Convoy of Hope is an outreach for the poor, hurting and hungry in the greater Charleston area. Volunteers will be able to reach out and help those who are less fortunate and going through tough times. Volunteer opportunities are in the area of greeting, kids zone, food services, food distribution, clothing distribution, maintenance and ground services, safety and security and may other areas. Volunteers have an opportunity to help and serve others making this a special day by helping individuals and families many of whom do not have the resources necessary to meet basic family needs. This outreach will help supply some of these needs. This is an opportunity for each of us to give back to overs through service. Please register to volunteer on our website www.charlestonconvoy.org
Volunteers may be 13 years of age or older. Volunteers ages 13-17 must be with adult or with a group volunteering at the outreach. Volunteers are asked to attend a rally and volunteer information meeting on Friday, October 9th at 6:45 p.m. This information can be found on our website www.charlestonconvoy.org. Volunteers must be at the outreach site by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10th and we will finish about 2:00 p.m.

We expect to help 5,000+ people with groceries and provide some personal and medical services as well as provide information on many community services available to our guest.

| What supplies are needed to complete this project |
 |
As all items used and distributed at this outreach are donated. There is a clothing distribution area and there is always a need for clothing, especially men's clothing. Clothing contributions shoud be made prior to the outreach. We accept contributions as it cost approximately $100,000 to fund this outreach.

| What supplies will volunteers be asked to provide |
 |
You may want to bring sunscreen; and possibly wear a hat; however, at this time of year bugs are not generally a problem. At this time of year we suggest you layer clothing as the temperature may vary during the time of this event. Even though we have water available, we suggest you may want to bring a bottle of water as well.
