Agency History: Florence Crittenton Programs of South Carolina serves at-risk, low-income girls and young women throughout the entire state of SC. Our mission is to foster the development of healthy babies and strong, competent parents. For 112 years, we have provided a safe haven, medical care, counseling, education and social support services for pregnant and parenting girls and young women. With our help, they deliver healthy babies, as well as acquire a sense of autonomy and accomplishment, so that they may become independent, successful young adults.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  1. Administrative Assistance
  2. Educational Tutors in a classroom setting
  3. Lecturer, Workshop Presenter, or Guest Speaker - topics include financial education/management/budgeting, resume writing, job search skills, parenting, healthy relationship skills, day care selection, flower arrangement, cooking classes, drama/acting classes, etiquette classes, nutrition, etc...
  4. Fundraising and Special Events
  5. Facility-"adopt-a-room", misc. repairs, landscaping/yard work, auto technicians, electrical repairs, roofing repairs, etc...

Hours Available: Weekdays - mornings, late afternoons and early evenings.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
Background checks required on all volunteers.
