To improve the area economy by attracting and providing support to conventions, leisure travelers, and visitors to Salt Lake County. Marketing efforts feature the positive differences between Salt Lake and competing destinations. Convention and visitor services are provided to encourage longer stays and future returns.
Description:
The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau (SLCVB) is a private, non-profit community organization promoting Salt Lake as a travel destination. The SLCVB and its members provide assistance to convention & meeting planners, tourism professionals, media, and visitors. Each year more than one million visitors utilize the SLCVB visitor information centers and this website to obtain information about Salt Lake and area businesses and services.
History:
The Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau was created by Salt Lake County in 1984 in order to focus efforts in promoting the area to visitors and meeting planners.
