Sandy City currently has openings with their Volunteer Victim Advocate Program. This program works directly with victims, survivors and witnesses of crime. The volunteer advocate will provide on-scene assistance to Sandy City Police Officers and also act as a liaison to law enforcement. Volunteer advocates will provide resources to the victim and help them with the criminal justice process. Training for this position is required and will be given to new volunteers upon their entry in the program. Volunteers will attend a 40 hour training held every six months. Volunteers for this position are required to have a background check done.
