Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Interns at ASCEND Headquarters provide routine office support which includes answering phones, filing, and maintaining a photo database. However, interns are also responsible for more intensive tasks such as researching and implementing ideas for local events and fund-raisers, maintaining and using a donor database, and keeping a weekly intern blog. ASCEND internships and fellowships require a great deal of maturity, self-motivation and patience. Students and volunteer professionals should have the education and the temperament, which fits the field experience or administrative work outlined.

Students should be a mature sophomore level or above. Mature students who have followed a non-traditional course and lack the stated level of class standing may discuss their circumstances individually with ASCEND. Credit for the internship at ASCEND must be arranged with an academic advisor and the Intern Coordinator at ASCEND.
