Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on March 30, 2009 |
Join us for an interactive training session to learn more about sexual abuse and how you can help at The CAC. As a volunteer, you will work in our Children’s Services Department which includes a playroom. This playroom helps facilitate the work done by our therapists, medical clinic, investigators and interviewers. The children go to the playroom between services and are allowed time to play, do homework, eat, etc. Play is so important to a traumatized child and we are proud to be able to provide them with a safe, nurturing play environment.
Due to the extreme sensitivity of our work at The CAC, we do have some requirements of those interested in volunteering: • Must be at least 18 years of age • Attend our volunteer training • Submit an application and confidentiality agreement • Agree to criminal and CPS background checks • Take part in a personal interview
This opportunity is sponsored by: The Children's Assessment Center
