Volunteer Opportunity Details:

RMH at TCH Volunteers work in the 20 bedroom House at Texas Children's and support families whose children are being treated in the Intensive Care areas of the hospital.

RMH Family Room Volunteers at TCH support patients and families on the Oncology/Hematology Inpatient floor, at the Outpatient Cancer Clinic, and in the Cardiovascular ICU.

Volunteers help keep the RMH facilities at Texas Children's tidy and stocked with supplies, check families in and out of the bedrooms, visit with parents, assist with other projects, and bake cookies.

Family Room and House at TCH Volunteers make a 6 month commitment. Volunteer opportunities are available from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. seven days a week. Shifts are scheduled in 3 hour time blocks.

∙ 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
∙ 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
∙ 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
∙ 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

RMH at TCH Volunteers work two shifts a month for a total of 6 hours a month.

Bilingual volunteers are especially needed to communicate with our Spanish speaking families.
