Cenla Area Agency On Aging, Inc.

The Cenla Area Agency on Aging shall develop and coordinate a system of services to enable seniors and their caregivers to maintain senior citizens in the community as long as possible.

Description:
Cenla AAA prepares a Plan to create a support system for seniors and accepts competitive applications for state and federal funds to create the systems needed according to the Plan. The agency also operates the Louisiana SenioRx pharmaceutical access program for seniors and the Louisiana Ombudsman program. The Ombudsman Program places trained staff and volunteers in nursing homes in an effort to improve the lives of residents in those homes.Cenla AAA was designated the Aging and Disability Resource Center for central Louisiana in 2007, and serves as a resource center for not only seniors but also adults with adult-onset disabilities.
