Help Habitat free a local, deserving family in need from inadequate shelter and open the door to increased self-esteem and self-reliance by helping them build a decent and safe home. Volunteers are needed to provide labor, snacks, and beverages for our upcoming build project, which will be held on Saturday, June 20th from 8AM - 3PM in the Alsace Lorraine Subdivision in Alexandria just past Acadian Elementary School (Highway 1 South and Hudson Boulevard).
Volunteer waivers will be completed and collected at the build site. As a safety precaution, volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear cool and comfortable clothes and work boots or tennis shoes (sandals and/or flip flops are not permissable). Construction tasks and instructions will be facilited by Habitat's Construction Supervisor on site. Donations of snacks and water/powerade should be coordinated via the Habitat office by calling 318.449.9804.
