Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Park photographic materials collection will be identified, sorted and prepared for cold storage. Volunteer will get experience preserving a valuable part of the history of Herbert Hoover NHS. Reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses may be available. Active volunteers are invited to the annual Volunteer Appreciation picnic. Additional awards may be given based on the number of hours donated. Minimum age: 18 Time commitment: 2 to 5 hours per week, weekdays Qualifications: The volunteer should have a strong interest in history and good organizational skills. Training: The supervisor will provide an orientation to the National Historic Site, its mission, and its staff. The volunteer will get on-the-job training to complete the project. Equipment and supplies: The supervisor will provide all necessary equipment and supplies Uniform or dress: The volunteer should wear comfortable and appropriate clothes for an office setting. Other comments: This job may require some modest physical exertion and lifting.
