Traffic control for A Christmas Past

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Benefits: Get involved with a major community event. Donated hours may count toward course credit or graduation.

Goal: Assist with the smooth and safe operation of A Christmas Past.

Duties: Duties include directing traffic and helping passengers on and off of horse-drawn wagons. Volunteers adhere to the park safety program and help provide a safe environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Minimum age: none (Under 18 requires parental approval)

Time commitment: At least one 90-minute shift during the first weekend in December

Qualifications: The volunteer must be able to physically perform the tasks assigned.

Training: The supervisor will provide instructions on the job and for safety. Where possible, new volunteers will be paired up with experienced volunteers.

Equipment and supplies: The park will provide a reflective vest, flashlight, and map of the wagon route.

Uniform or dress: Volunteers must dress for the weather and for moderately strenuous physical work.

Other comments: Work may involve significant physical activity or long periods standing and walking.
