Imagining Tomorrow/ The Foresight Project

To develop and implement educational programs that connect students in a meaningful way with their own future world, and in real-time, using web- and inquiry-based approaches.

Description:
Our current program is Imagining Tomorrow: Alternate Energy Futures. It uses the arts -- creative writing and video -- to catalyze discussion of clean energy and global climate at the high-school level. And, it uses a contest format to motivate students with a very public awards reception, and subsequent online publishing of the winning entries as part of the community outreach.

History:
We ran a pilot program under an umbrella organization in 2006 in Massachusetts, and again in 2007. In 2007 we are expanding to a national program, which is currently underway.
