As the Kirksville Arts Association is becoming more visible there are more opportunities opening to support the arts, specifically needed are gallery volunteers and docents. New exhibits are being brought to the gallery of the Arts Center on a monthly basis. Friends of the Arts (Volunteers) are needed to operate the gallery and keep it open other than normal working hours of the executive director. Some of the duties include opening and closing the gallery and giving patrons tours and information about the exhibits on display. Gallery hours for 2009 are now under revision. Call the director for further information. The volunteer needs to individually get together with the executive director and/or the volunteer coordinator for a tour of the building and gallery information.
