Midcoast Senior College provides a curriculum of intellectually stimulating learning opportunities, special activities and life enrichment for persons 55 years of age or older.
Description:
At Midcoast Senior College, you may choose from a varied array of courses offered over eight weeks beginning in March and September. Facilitators for our courses are experts in their respective fields and all are volunteers.
No tests, no grades, just the pleasure of learning in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
History:
In the fall of 1999, Midcoast Senior College held an Open House to determine whether we would be a viable asset to the community. The response was overwhelming. We opened our doors for the first classes in the Spring of 2000 and we have been growing and expanding ever since. We now offer 14 courses, Monday through Friday, Summer trips and a free winter lecture series.
