Promote the dignity, self worth and independence of those in need, primarily seniors, through the provision of nutritious meals, companionship, and activity oriented senior day care.

Description:
CSS has three programs - Meals on Wheels, Grace Place Alzheimer's Activity Centers, and the Senior Companion Program. Our overall goal is to help seniors remain in their homes through supportive services. Meals on Wheels delivers hot, nutritious meals each weekday to homebound seniors. Grace Place provides a day activity center to provide respite to caregivers and the mental and physical stimulation needed by Alzheimer's sufferers. The Senior Companion program pays a small stipend to low-income seniors who provide companionship to home bound senior.

History:
CSS was founded in 1977 by St. John's Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church. Since that time, it has grown to one of the largest providers of senior services in South Texas. We are a non-denominational, non-sectarian 501(c)(3) nonprofit, providing services to anyone in need.
