The mission of the San Antonio Youth Centers is to develop the character, strengths, talents and skills of San Antonio's high-risk urban youth through fun, safe experiences, positive learning environments, and holistic programs that inspire each individual to fulfill their potential-personally and in the community.

Description:
SAYC's programs strive to affect change in youth in three primary ways: prevention-preventing and reducing negative and delinquent behavior; academic improvement-improving academic skills and increasing participation in out-of-the classroom learning experiences; and social development-building character, improving social skills, increasing assets, and establishing positive relationships.

Our vision: Reaching out to San Antonio's high-risk urban youth so each one who enters our doors will go forward with the tools necessary for lifelong success.

From Our Lady of the Lake: Take Commerce headed Downtown. Take a left on Frio St. Follow Frio until you come to the interstate. Turn left at the light -- DO NOT go under the interstate. This is Poplar St., but there is no street sign. Once you've turned, we are the only building on the right before the railroad tracks.   Nearest Bus Stop: 88, 1 min. minute walk
