History:
Goodwill Industries of San Antonio was chartered in 1945 and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Goodwill of San Antonio is assigned a total of 23 counties in the State of Texas. The dedicated and faithful support of our donors/customers throughout our 60 plus year-old history continue to provide the foundation of our agency. Donations of useable items that in turn sell in our 16 retail stores provide the major funding that enable the agency to fulfill its mission. Work services contracts and support from the United Way for almost fifty years are additional funding sources. In 2008, over 9,000 volunteers contributed their time and talent. This is truly an invaluable source of support that helps make our mission a reality.
