Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on January 15, 2009 |
We need two loving individuals, 2-4 hours a week, to care for children under the age of 4 while their mothers fulfill their volunteer requirements to receive subsidized rent on a public housing property. Urban Connection's practice is to hire from the community. Through volunteering, individuals develop needed skills and work habits for future employment. Our purpose is to equip and train individuals for future employment using their personal strengths. One of our neighbors is a mom who desires to volunteer, but is limited because she has two little ones at home. She's worked before, is very personable and organized, and wants to provide a better life for her family.
Female preferred. Mornings between 9-1, Monday - Friday. Hours flexible. A background will be completed. Please contact Grace Harden Community Relations Coordinator at 210-734-5599 or by email at volunteer@urbanconnection-sa.org. This opportunity is sponsored by: Urban Connection - San Antonio
