Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Healthy Families is in need of volunteers to help with child care during our monthly Parent Activity Groups. On the second Tuesday of each month from 4-6pm, families enrolled in our home visitation parenting program are invited to a Parent Activity Group in which they share a meal, learn about a parenting topic, and participate in a parent/child activity. The children ages 0-4 are taken to our "Play IS Learning" room and cared for while the parents are learning.

Volunteers need to complete a volunteer application and undergo a background check in order to work with the children. There is also a 1/2 hour orientation required prior to any volunteer service. Volunteers should have experience with children and be willing play and interact with the children during this time.
