Board members are actively involved in fund raising, supporting activities for the "Dreamers" and promoting community awareness of the I Have a Dream program.
The Board Members also work with the project coordinator who develops enrichment programs, recruits volunteer tutors/mentors, conducts workshops and sponsors field trips.
The programs enhance the student’s awareness of the community; develop the student’s interpersonal skills and build close relationships with dreamers and their parents.
IHAD Board meets once a month to network, open doors to helpful sources of funding, services and other support within the community.
The ideal person to serve in this capacity is one who has a passion for the education of disadvantaged young people, can commit to regular board attendance and will create a long-term trusting relationship between the individuals who have access to resources and young people who do not.
