Volunteer Opportunity Details:

All museum volunteers will be asked to assist museum staff in implementing educational activities by encouraging and facilitating creative play. Volunteers will assist museum staff with chosen activities such as the kid powered elevator and the Holt front-end loader, birthday parties, FETCH!, arts and crafts, etc.

Volunteers will also greet museum guests in a friendly, professional manner, interact with guests, assist with maintaining a safe and positive museum environment, sign in and out for each day, follow rules and procedures as given by museum staff, schedule volunteer hours on a regular basis, and report to the volunteer Coordinator

Minimum age: 14 yrs of age. Volunteers must submit an application that can be downloaded of our website at www.sakids.org and mailed or faxed to (210) 242-1313. Volunteers are required to attend an orientation prior to volunteering. A background check is completed on applicants 18 yrs and older.

From I-10 From the north, take the Santa Rosa Exit and turn east on Dolorosa St. (towards downtown). From the south, exit Durango and turn north (left) on Santa Rosa and east on Dolorosa St. Stay on Dolorosa Street. This street becomes Market Street. Turn left on Navarro Street.
