The volunteer will answer the phone, assist in mailings, use basic computer skills, and assist consumers in locating services through the United Way database in a relaxed atmosphere. Opportunities to develop grant writing, communication, and organizational skills are available. Although this is currently an unpaid position, it may become a paid position in the future. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Volunteer must be familiar with MS Word, email, and should be willing to learn new computer skills. Hours are flexible. College interns majoring in communication, business, or social work are encouraged to apply. You must have a pleasant personality, able to work without supervision, and self-motivated.
