Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Fone Friends should be at least 21 years of age. Fone Friends act as a supportive liaison between ChildSafe and our clients. Fone Friends call the adult caregiver of a child who has been sexually abused. Fone Friends are asked to make telephone contact at least once a week for six months. Fone Friends lend a non-threatening, non-judgmental listening ear to this caregiver. Volunteers are required to submit monthly reports regarding their time and attempts and successful contacts.

All ChildSafe Volunteers are required to complete an application, criminal background check, and complete the interview process. Training is provided to all volunteers. In addition, throughout the year, volunteers are encouraged to attend Center Topic Trainings.
