The National Kidney Foundation of South and Central Texas needs volunteers to present the School Zone Program to elementary school students. This free program is designed for second through fifth grade students and offers a fun and interactive approach to kidney health. Some of the basic concepts covered in the program's presentation include functions of the kidney, causes of kidney disease, healthy habits to prevent these diseases, and information about dialysis, transplantation, and kidney donation. The purpose of this program is to promote an early awareness of kidney health issues in order to aid in the fight against preventable kidney disease. If you enjoy working with children and are concerned with the health of San Antonio's youth, then this is the ideal program for you. This opportunity is sponsored by: The National Kidney Foundation Serving South And Central Texas
