| Last updated on June 26, 2009 |
Volunteer Mediators provide mediation services for a variety of civil conflicts including consumer and small-claims type disputes, family problems, child visitation difficulties, landlord/tenant conflicts, neighborhood disputes and workplace issues. Mediation gives the persons involved in the conflict an alternative to litigation and helps them retain the power to reach a solution rather than giving that power away to a judge. The mediator facilitates the agreement-reaching process. Must have taken the 40-Hour Basic Mediation Training at a Texas community-based Dispute Resolution Center. This opportunity is sponsored by: Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center
