Make a Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas needs volunteers to assist with the "Wish Ride" for the following positions:
At Ride Starts: Volunteers will arrive at 7:30AM to assist with setup. Registration for participants begins at 8:30AM. Volunteers will pass out registration paperwork, copy driver's license numbers onto waiver forms, distribute route maps, pass out wristbands and distribute prize tickets. Some volunteers will be asked to assist with registration and handling money. There are (3) Ride Starts: Javelina Harley-Davidson in Boerne, Cowboy Harley-Davidson in Austin, and Alamo City Harley-Davidson in San Antonio. 10 volunteers needed at each start.
At Ride Stops: Volunteers will arrive at each location around 9AM (depends on when the bikers are expected to arrive at a specific stop) to assist with setup. As bikers arrive, direct them to restroom and refreshment facilities, exchange tab on wristband for (1) prize ticket, and make sure they have maps to the next location. Volunteers cannot leave until the last biker has come thru and the next location has been notified. There are (7) Ride Stops: Comfort Hatchery, Sisterdale Roadhouse, Dam Red Barn, Shade Tree Saloon, Luckenbach, Riley's BBQ, and Riley's Tavern. 5 volunteers needed at each stop.
At Ride End: All bikers will converge upon Gruene Harley-Davidson at the end of the ride. Volunteers will direct traffic, assist with food and drink sales, sale of t-shirts, pins, patches, bandanas, exchange tab on wristband for 1 prize ticket, clean-up, games, etc. There will be two shifts: 10AM – 3PM, and 2:30PM – 6PM. 20 volunteers are needed at the Ride End.
Qualifications Needed: Willing to work hard and leave with a general sense of having done a good job!
Training or Orientation Provided: Quick training day of event.
