The Social & Health Research Center (SHRC), a nonprofit organization whose main focus is diabetes prevention research, will be hosting its first TELETON BIENESTAR on August 15, 2009 at the Mi Mercado Fleamarket and Hall located at 227 New Laredo Highway from 12 noon to 12 midnight.  Volunteers are need to assist with this event.  Contact Olga Valenciana at (210) 602-0998. TELETON BIENESTAR will feature a health fair, food booths, drinks and an entertainment lineup like no other.  Some of the artists who have volunteered their performance time include:  Ruben Ramos, Mariachi Campanas de America, Cana Brava, Arranke Musical, 2Kilos de Azucar, Hecho en Mexico and many more.  The event is intended to bring awareness to Diabetes in our community.
