Catholic Charities, Spokane, is a network of agencies, institutions, parishes, and individuals, united in Gospel spirit, who are servants to the poor, supporters for families and aides to parishes and communities in meeting the social service needs of people in eastern Washington.

Description:
Catholic Charities Volunteer Chore Services is a partnership between caring volunteers and individuals in need. These free chore services assist low income elders and low income adults with disabilities so they may remain in their own homes with safety, dignity and connection to their community.

History:
Volunteer Chore Services was formed in response to 1981 legislative act which cut the state paid chore program causing approximately 4000 elders across Washington to lose their in home help. There are Volunteer Chore Services offices serving all of Eastern Washington. The Spokane office serves clients throughout Spokane County.
