Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on July 15, 2009 |
Every disaster that happens is also an opportunity for a story to be shared. A story about community members volunteering their time to provide relief to disaster victims in the form of food, shelter, clothing and compassion, without asking for anything in return. The role of a Public Affairs volunteer is to share the Red Cross story with the community. Volunteers provide information to media outlets and act as a spokesperson for the Red Cross while on the scene of a disaster. Public Affairs volunteer members are typically on call for one week periods.
The Red Cross provides the necessary training free of charge for individuals interested in becoming Public Affairs volunteers. This opportunity is sponsored by: American Red Cross Inland Northwest Chapter
We need volunteers who are free at these times
