Yard care for elderly or adult with disability

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on January 15, 2009

Year-round opportunities include lawn mowing, clipping, weeding, etc in summer; raking leaves in fall; and snow shoveling in winter. Clients are low income elderly and low income adults with disabilities living in their own homes in Spokane, Valley and vicinity. Having equipment is a plus but not absolutely necessary in many cases. This is a great chance to help someone in your neighborhood who needs you. Groups and individuals of any age are welcome. Youth under 16 with adult supervision.

Registration packet completed by volunteer includes general information, Washington State Patrol Background Check, and Disclosure form. Three references listed by volunteer to be checked. There is a short orientation to the program for all new volunteers. Hours Flexible.
