Hope Food Pantry

Hope Food Pantry's mission is to help alleviate hunger in the community.

We accomplish this by providing nutritious food, personal care items, and social service information to those who need them.

Our hope is to sustain, strengthen and educate needy individuals and families within the community.

In the process, we strive to give the public opportunities for personal and spiritual growth through meaningful service.

Description:
Hope Food Pantry is open every Thursday and Friday mornings from 10-12p.m. However, volunteers come earlier to prep.

Many of our clients are elderly, single parents, homeless, disabled, grandparents raising grandchildren, have lost their job, and/or work but cannot afford basic needs.

We provide five days worth of groceries to each client once a month. Each family receives canned corn, green beans, and other vegetables, soup, pasta and sauce, canned and frozen meat, rice, beans, peanut butter, juice, cereal, bread, snacks and fresh produce. We also try to provide special request items such as toilet paper, diapers, baby food, toothpaste, deodorant, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, clothes detergent, dish soap, trash bags, oil, pet food, sugar, coffee, etc.

In addition to our main mission we have recently partnered with Methodist Healthcare Ministries and Apicon Home Health Agency, Inc. to provide free highblood pressure and diabetes screenings.
