Austin Pets Alive!

Austin Pets Alive! will provide a safety net that takes the risk out of being a homeless animal in Austin. Our pledge is a promise that every adoptable and treatable cat or dog, puppy or kitten in Austin will have a home.

Description:
Austin Pets Alive! (APA), a 501(c)3 (nonprofit) organization, is the primary provider in Austin, Texas of volunteer effort for programs designed to fill the gaps in the animal welfare movement. By filling these gaps and with support from the city itself, Austin can attain a No-Kill status. The organization provides programs that are unique in their scope and breadth, and takes a three-pronged, holistic approach to solving the problem of pet homelessness: Prevention - Retention - Adoption.

In a unique partnership with the Town Lake Animal Center (TLAC), APA! is helping to stop the killing of adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens whose only crime is that they are homeless.
