SHARE is an extension of the UT Freshman Admissions Center. SHARE strives to enhance the University's quest for excellence by attracting the best students in the state and increasing the number of qualified students enrolling in and graduating from UT Austin. Volunteers act as pre-enrollment peer advisers by talking with interested students to relieve their apprehensions about college life and describing the University as they see it.

Description:
The SHARE Program is all about helping and engaging students. Our volunteers maintain the University's public service responsibility of accessibility to all qualified state residents and offer prospective students an opportunity to view the campus and provide them with honest information regarding student life at UT Austin.

History:
SHARE is designed to aid the University of Texas at Austin in fulfilling its commitment to assisting qualified students in their transition from high school to college. The Freshman Admissions Center believes students should be given all the information necessary to make an educated decision about their college choice. Since its beginning in 1978, the SHARE Program has helped provide that information.
