The mission of the Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services is to provide Christ-centered services to children in need and their families. Our services include residential care for children in group homes and foster care. We also serve families in crisis with case management provided by licensed social workers.
Description:
Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services operates two group homes for children in Austin, Texas, a boys' home and a girls' home. We also offer services to families in crisis through the Child and Family program located at First Presbyterian Church in Austin. Presbyterian Children's homes and Services also operates similar programs in more than 20 locations across the state of Texas. It's central administrative office is located in Austin.
History:
Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services has been a continuous child care agency since 1903, when it began as an orphanage in Dallas. Over the years, its services have changed with the needs of children and families in the state.
