211 Texas United Way is a free confidential information and referral helpline. We provide information about services provided by non-profit, faith-based, and government organizations.
Description:
211 is 24/7 multilingual (over 180 languages), and professional. Our staff are professionals who listen to, problem solve with, and empower callers. We give callers everything they need to access the services they are in need of; eligibility, intake procedure, hours, description of service provided, location description, languages the service is offered in, and more! 211 is available anywhere in Texas. Callers can dial 211 and be transferred to any of the 26 211 offices around the state to receive local information about that area. Our information is constantly being updated and is accessible online at www.211centraltexas.org We're always happy to do presentations and trainings on 211 and how to use the online database.
