Jewish Family Service of Austin is a human services agency, anchored in Jewish values, committed to strengthening individual and family life and enhancing the well being of the community.

Description:
Jewish Family Service (JFS) is seeking volunteers of all ages to participate in Volunteer for Seniors, a new program aimed at helping older adults strengthen their connection to the Jewish community. This new program gives volunteers the opportunity to reach out to create lasting relationships with seniors who are living on their own or in congregant living settings. JFS is recruiting volunteers to be matched with a senior based on needs and common interests. Volunteers are needed for a variety of activities such as friendly visits, transportation medical appointments or errands,the JCAA or community events, simple household repairs, and more! All volunteers will receive training and ongoing support from JFS.

Jewish Family Service (JFS) provides individual, couples and family counseling as well as providing support groups and psychoeducational programming to the community. JFS also coordinates an array of recreational, social, and cultural activities for seniors which are held at the Dell Jewish Community Campus.
