Last updated on April 14, 2009

The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) offers non-paid internships to students interested in gaining experience in a non-profit setting. Interns work directly with an LAF employee and engage in long and short term projects in the areas of administration/volunteer services, cancer survivorship programs, development/fundraising and marketing/communications. Past interns have helped plan events, evaluate programs, create systems and processes and work with outside vendors, partners as well as the cancer community!

The LAF is seeking enthusiastic students who would like to learn more about the workings of a non-profit organization, who are available to work 12-20 hours per week at the LAF offices in Austin, Texas, who have strong verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, as well as competency with the internet and e-mail. Undergraduate and graduate level students are encouraged to apply. Recent graduates are also eligible.

TO APPLY: Interested applicants should copy and paste the following link into a web browser to read more about the specific tasks within each area and to complete an electronic intern application. For the spring semester, all applications must be received by May 1, 2009. Interviews will be conducted with selected applicants and the internship will start either May 18th or June 5th.
