Partners in Technology (PIT) volunteers help students learn technology skills that promote self esteem, academic success, and preparation for today’s technology-driven world. Students, often without access to computers at home, gain technology training and the opportunity to increase their digital literacy. Students also learn valuable skills such as teamwork, collaboration, and communication. Volunteers can participate in 2 different programs:
- Dell TechKnow - Students learn hardware, software, and basic trouble-shooting skills in this after school program. At the end of the program students take a computer home!
Commitment: Classes are 2 hours 2 times per week after school Mon.-Thurs. between 3:30-6:00 pm; volunteer schedules can be accommodated. Volunteer opportunities at: Burnet M.S.
