Making riding dreams a reality

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on August 19, 2009

Dream a Dream is an organization dedicated to helping individuals with special needs enjoy horses and riding. There is nothing like seeing the smile on a rider's face when the horse walks forward with them for the first time or gives a loving nuzzle from a gentle touch.
We not only have regular sessions, but we offer equine assisted learning day camps on Saturday afternoons through the fall to develop social, cognitive and reasoning skills in addition to riding.
We will soon be a designated 501c3 non-profit organization and wish to offer our program to the school district and other agencies in the community as well.

All our volunteers need to attend one of our volunteer orientations to learn about the program and how to be a horse walker and side walker. They are other volunteer opportunities that involve horse management and special activities as well.
