The Grant Writer is a volunteer position that is essential to the success of our Council. The position entails approximately 1-3 hours per week and may vary according to the volumes of grants pursued.

Core Duties/Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
•Manage and develop current grant funding sources;
•Identify and development new grant sources – single and multi-year;
•Write grant proposals and reports;
•Maintain timeline for proposals and report back to funding sources in an accurate and timely manner;
•Supervise grant writing for smaller projects headed up by other GOTR Austin volunteers;
•Work with Council Director on Program Development based on grant resources;
•Assist in development of new programs where necessary and appropriate;
•Communicate with grant partners;
•Execute grant management activities as appropriate;
•Prepare reporting requirements as appropriate;
•Attend council meetings as appropriate;

•Previous grant writing experience
•A strong commitment to girls' positive development
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Experience working with non-profits
•Flexible / ability to accommodate to a changing environment
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Ability to compile and analyze data for oral and written presentation
